If your child has a recurring or infectious illness, please let us know.
The school can only administer ‘prescribed medicines’ where written consent has been given by a parent. A medicine form can be obtained from the School Office where the medicines should be left each morning. Where three doses have been prescribed for medicines daily, there is no reason why the doses cannot be administered before and after school and at bedtime. Where four daily doses are required, we are prepared to administer a dose at lunchtime on behalf of parents.
Should it be necessary for your child to receive medication during school hours, then the medicine should be clearly labelled with your child's name and full details of dosage. The school accepts no liability for such items, and all members of staff have the right to refuse to administer the medicine. Forms must be obtained from the school office.
Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities for looking after sick children. In the event of illness, we will try to contact parents immediately by phone or text. You should ensure that we have up-to-date information on how to contact you and an emergency contact number.
